Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What towns does the train depart from?

There are two departure locations: our main depot is on broad street in Globe. This depot is in the restored historic railway building. There is a second departure location at the Apache Gold Casino Depot with tickets available at the Casino gift shop.

2. What are some local restaurants and shopping around Globe?

We suggest you visit the Globe/Miami chamber site, www.globemiamichamber.com, or for more recommendations www.globemiamitimes.com

3. What options are available at the Casino?

In addition to the casino operations, there is a gift shop and locations for lunch and dinner. For overnight guests there is the Apache Gold Best Western and a highly rated golf course.

4. Are there snacks or beverages on board?

Yes.

5. What does the scenery on the trip look like?

Globe is located in the heart of Arizona's magnificent Tonto National Forest and is surrounded by high desert mountain vistas and mesas made famous in the Southwest. The route crosses over trestles and passes discontinued mines.

6. How early should we get there to get Dome seats?

Seating is first come, first served with preferential treatment for large groups with advance notice.

7.Can we get by the depot anytime and purchase tickets? What are their hours?

You may purchase tickets by calling our toll free number 1-866-979-RAIL, the depot is open during excursion hours, Thursday- Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

8. Is the train wheel chair accessible?

Wheelchair lifts are located at both depots—Globe and Apache Gold Casino depot. The coach cars have limited space for wheelchairs. To access the dome cars, passengers must be able to walk and negotiate steps, either on their own or with assistance, as our historic dome cars do not accommodate wheelchairs.

9. Is there parking at the Depot?

There is daily parking in and around the depot.

10. Do you go across a bridge?

There are trestles on the route, one going over historic Broad Street.
